Video Poker with Wild Cards

Video Poker was introduced in Las Vegas in the late 1970s. The first Video Poker games were *not* very popular, because they only paid out on Two Pairs or higher hands. The first *popular* Video Poker game, was Jacks or Better, which had a better pay table than the original Video Poker games, because it also paid out on a pair of Jacks or better.

Since then many variants of Video Poker have been invented (and still are). The first major innovation was Joker Wild, a game played with 52 cards plus an additional wild Joker. The second major innovation was Deuces Wild, a game that's even more popular than Joker's Wild. Deuces Wild is played with a traditional deck of 52 cards, but all deuces are wild.

Both Joker Wild and Deuces Wild have a couple of things in common: Firstly, one or more cards are treated as wild cards, which means they can be used to complete (almost) any hand. Secondly, the payback for the full pay versions of both games is more than 100%, which is favorable to the player in the long term. Thirdly, the volatility of both games is significantly higher than the volatility of Jacks or Better which is reflected in relatively bigger fluctuations of your bankroll.
