All deuces are wild in Deuces Wild: they can be used to complete any hand. This is the single most important difference between Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild, because Jacks or Better is a game without wild cards.

This is because a Wild Seven or Deuce loses it's "wild" value in every Straight and Straight Flush where it functions as a regular seven or deuce. Because there are only two possible Straights that include a deuce, a deuce loses it's "wild" value much less often than a seven, and thus Deuces Wild is a better game than Sevens Wild.
