Slots by number of Reels

The very first slot, the Liberty Bell, invented by Charles Fey way back in 1898, was a three reel, one line, three coin slot machine. The original Liberty Bell was a mechanical device, whereas all slots discussed here are powered by a computer. However, most modern computerized slots still have three reels. Some modern slots have five reels, in order to accommodate for more paylines.
