The original Jacks or Better video poker game is played one hand at a time, and in fact most video poker games are still played one hand at a time. However, online casinos offer almost all their video poker games both in a single-hand *and* a multi-hand version. You can play 3, 4, 5, 10, 52 or even 100 hands at the same time!

Almost always multi-hand video poker games only differ with respect to the number hands that can be played simultaneously, but occasionally, the multi-hand version has a complete different pay table. For example, Microgaming's one hand Deuces Wild is completely different from their four hand, power poker version. The latter pays much more on Four Deuces and a Wild Royal and consequentially has an almost 1.4% better expected return!
