Jacks or Better is one of the oldest and most popular games of Video Poker. The expected return on full pay or 9/6 Jacks or Better is 99.54% making this a very attractive game to play.

Louisiana Double Video Poker plays the same as Jacks or Better, but with one exception. A special Double Card (shown below) is added to the standard 52 card deck. Holding this card with any other winning combination listed in the paytable, will *double* your winnings.

The Double Card doesn't work like a wild card. So for example 10, J, Q, K of the same suit plus the Double Card pays you ... nothing. The Double Card only doubles winning combinations of 4 cards or less: a Pair of Jacks, Two Pair, Three of a Kind and Four of a Kind.

Louisiana Double Video Poker is only available in the Microgaming gaming suite that preceded their Viper version.

Louisiana Double has the advantage of the Double Card and above standard payouts on a Straight Flush and a Four of a Kind. The drawback of this game are the substandard payouts on a Royal Flush and a Three of a Kind.
