Double Joker Video Poker (Microgaming)
Review of Double Joker (Microgaming)Joker Poker is also called Joker's Wild. This game is played with 53 cards, because a Joker is added to the standard 52 deck. The Joker is wild: it can be used to complete any hand (except a natural Royal Flush). Double Joker Poker is a variant of Joker Poker, where an additional Joker is added to the deck. So Double Joker Poker is played with 54 cards, instead of the normal 52 cards. Not one, but *two* cards of this 54 card deck are Jokers and wild. The kicker is that the lowest ranking hand is Two Pairs instead of Kings or Better in standard Joker Poker. Full pay Double Joker Poker has an expected return of 98.10% which is much lower than the expected return on full pay Joker Poker, which is 100.64%. But then again the volatility of this game is also lower than standard Joker Poker, so your bankroll will fluctuate not as much as it would playing standard Joker's Wild. Microgaming offers two versions of Double Joker Poker, which both use the same pay table, and only differ with respect to the number of hands that can be played simultaneously: 1 hand or 4 hands in the power poker variant. Microgaming's Double Joker Poker pay table is listed in the second column of the table below. The full pay table is listed in the third column, for comparison purposes.
